 Hey Jewel Baes! My name is Kamri Owens, and I am the founder of Protect Your Jewels. I was motivated to start PYJ after my 3 year battle with yeast infections. Whoa! Too much info, right? I know, but it's the truth! I started having trouble with yeast during my pregnancy with my first child in 2016. I never had a yeast infection until my pregnancy. I spent over two years in and out of my OBGYN office, being prescribed oral and topical medicines that did not help rid the yeast infection. I spent lots of money on doctor bills and medicines that did not relieve me. Around Spring of 2019, I had been told by doctors all over my hometown that I did not show any positive results of an infection of any kind. I was skeptical of their knowledge considering that I had a yeast infection for the past 2 years before that, and STILL had symptoms of it during my visits up until that point. I felt so hopeless when leaving each doctor’s appointment. I felt as though I was becoming crazy because here I am with symptoms of yeast, yet some computerized results are informing my doctors to “assure” me that no infection is being detected. To say the least, I became very depressed.

Eventually I just stopped relying on the doctors to diagnose and prescribe me products that were not going to rid me of my constant headache. I started doing research on people who were selling natural products geared towards ridding yeast. I tried numerous products from different people all over America. Nothing helped at all! I told myself one day in the late Summer of 2019,”You know what? How bout’ you start making your own products? Maybe you’ll create the relief that you need.” And sure enough I did! I have definitely recognized a significant difference between my products and others! What started off as a thought has become a dream come true for me. It was at the moment of my first test trial for one of my Jewel bars that I knew I had to pursue my vision further by creating products that ALL people can benefit from. 

So here I am, creating natural skincare & feminine products that I believe will help protect the jewels of people of all ages, race and ethnicities. No matter what gender you identify as, I want to make you feel beautiful both inside and out, the NATURAL way!
